Last month, I met up in Paris with a few good friends to enjoy four days of summertime in the city of love. When I started to pack, I almost immediately broke my own rule of not overpacking. Alas, what’s a girl to do when she’s trying to figure out what to wear in Paris in summer 2025? Overpacking is, like, the rules of feminism. I wanted to keep the majority of my looks in line with the iconic effortless French chic vibe — think kitten heels, small dresses, and fabulous sunnies. Keep scrolling to see what to pack, what I wore and what the Paris style trends are right now.
Day 1: Right after we landed, I changed into something more breathable to wander the streets before dinner. This top is from my now late clothing line (a short lived era, but an era nonetheless) so it’s no longer available but I’ll link to something similar below. The shorts were a last-minute add-in when packing, and thank goodness because they were much needed. I will absolutely be wearing this outfit around Nashville — it’s a great warm weather look
Day 2: This Australian brand has become one of my favorites in the last year. I love a matching set as much as the next red-blooded female, and this worked well in Paris. Half the day I wore the top untucked, and the other half I tucked it in. It’s flattering either way, and bonus: my new Celine sunglasses matched perfectly. Très chic.
Night 2: This is the dress I was most excited to wear on this trip. It’s a major splurge, so debuting it in Paris felt exactly right. I will be keeping this dress forever and styling it for fall to get even more wear out of it. FWIW, I was planning to wear these heels with this bag, but my mysteriously swollen feet seriously cramped my style so I wore a different shoe, which honestly might’ve ended up being even cuter than my original outfit idea?
Day 3: I have this shirt and skirt in a few washes already and wear them constantly, so I knew adding the white to my repertoire would fare well in Paris. We did a lot of walking this day, so the ballerinas were the best choice since they were bar none the most comfortable pair of shoes I brought (and just in general, too).
Night 3: This dress was a close second the night 2 number. It’s rare when I have FUN wearing a piece; like, sure — I feel great and confident in a lot of what I wear, but it being responsible for such a fun, joyful experience isn’t typical. While it’s a showstopper of a piece, it’s also unassumingly comfortable. The heels are new by Tony Bianco (another Australian brand who can do no wrong) so it was fun skipping around in those, too. I will say the earrings hurt, which was a bummer. They’re in desperate need of some padding because the clips are snug, as in tight. My ears couldn’t even make it through dinner; I took the earrings off halfway through and felt immediately relief. I’ll wear them again, but with protection!
Day 4: This was another one of the panic-packing looks I threw in last minute, and I’m so glad I did. This was pretty much the trip of matching sets and dresses and I’m okay with that. This was the hottest day of the trip, and we spent the bulk of it walking around the city, so I was more than grateful to have another shorts set to wear. You’ve probably seen me in it before, which speaks to how great it really is.
Night 4: I chose to sport this cute little number for our last night. I tried this silhouette on a few months ago in a different color and loved it but they didn’t have my size. So when I saw this gorgeous butter yellow in the size I needed, I grabbed it immediately because I knew it would be perfect for the trip. I went with a minimal heel for a comfortable night, and it was perfect.
